It's Time To Get Things Started With... The Muppets Again!

Thirty-seven years after "The Muppet Show" premiered on television, I can still picture scenes from the original episodes.  As a child, I was riveted to the screen by the amazing production of vaudeville puppetry.  A variety show that appealed to and captured the attention of both children as adults so well was certainly a novelty, and one I'm glad I had the chance to experience the magic first hand.  

Over the years, I've enjoyed sharing my love of Fozzie's slapstick, Miss Piggy's antics, Gonzo's stunts and Kermit's sensibility and deep-seeded "green" issues with my children.  We're all huge fans of "Pigs In Space" and The Swedish Chef still evokes responses of roaring laughter (probably because I've made meatballs that bounce and tend to utter indistinguishable gibberish when cooking.)   

I'm tickled to see The Muppets continue to thrive in modern day and happy to learn they'll soon be gracing the theater stage March 21, 2014 with a new movie, Disney’s “The Muppets …Again!” 

“The Muppets …Again! takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
