Who's Your Nanny Part Deux: Hawkeye vs Black Widow #Avengers

Every Comic Book Mom could use a little help raising their superheroes, right? Of course.  That’s why we have started the ridiculously fun “Who’s Your Nanny?” where you get to pick the fictional character who will work with you to bring up up the most amazing superheroes ever.

The next contestants to duke out the right to nurture your children...

Who's Your Nanny: Hawkeye versus Black Widow

Oh, come on, you so saw us going there on the Avengers angle.  And, yes, guys have the right to be nannies, too... the media has made us very well informed of this.

Nanny Hawkeye
  • Will be able to teach your children fencing and archery skills. (Great news for FFA moms.)
  • As he likes to stay in peak acrobatic condition, he'll be a great role model and fun on the playground (think monkey bars.)
  • He was in the circus, so he's had plenty of experience entertaining children and dealing with wild animals.
  • You may find yourself highly distracted on occasion (hello, he's great eye candy) which could lead to irrational behavior or babbling, incoherent speech.

Nanny Black Widow
  • She's multi-lingual (will help give your kids an academic edge.)
  • If your children have Olympic aspirations, she's a world class athlete with some mad martial art skills.
  • If your daughter likes ballet, Black Widow believes she was a ballerina and thereby has amazing dance aptitude.
  • She's a spy, so trust is an issue, and she's been brainwashed on occasion, leaving her highly unpredictable.

What are your thoughts? Who would you choose?

Be sure to vote for your favorite in the sidebar poll (upper right corner!)  And feel free to comment if you have thoughts to add...

Results:  Props to HAWKEYE for snagging 69% of the vote.  No doubt it has just a wee little bit to do with his buff pecks and dreamy eyes (just say'n)

  1. I have to go with the Black Widow - that opening sequence alone where she takes down some Russian mobsters gives me assurance my kids would be safe with her. :) (Didn't you just LOVE the movie?)

    1. Absolutely loved the movie! I like your rationale, too. She definitely would protect.

  2. I would have to go with Hawkeye. #1 he's not back to look at. #2 my son wouldn't have it any other way. He barely wants to have a female swim teacher.

  4. I'd had to choose the Black Widow... Being that my Calley is being taught UFC moves by her dad, grandpa and uncles... I think that some of what the BW has to offer would do her good. :) Great post!

  5. I'd have to choose the Hawke. I am terrified of spiders, so just the name "Black Widow" turns me off :)

    Stopping by from VoiceBoks!

  6. I would have to go with Hawke. I have prepubescent boys so no way am I putting them in the care of a "Black Widow". and I don't want the hubby looking that way either. Plus he ain't hard on the eyes.

    1. I completely understand... that's one of the first things I thought of... but then again, could work to our advantage because the boys sure would pay attention to what she had to say ;-)

  7. Ok, I'm just DYING to see this movie! I don't know which to choose, on one hand that hawke is rather good looking...he'd definitely make working with him rather pleasant, although the husband might not like that. But on the other hand Black widow is rather beautiful which may distract the husband. lol.

I have to reserve my vote until I've seen this movie. But definitely a conversation I'll bring up with the husband for a good laugh after we watch the movie. :)
