In just a few short days, darkness will descend upon our cities and when the sun rises in the morning, every superhero on the planet... will be high-tailing it straight to the comic book store!
This Saturday, May 3rd, over 2,000 participating comic book specialty shops across the US, Canada and worldwide will be giving away over 4.6 million comics to kids and adults who come to their comic shop.
There are 60 free comics available to choose this year with titles that include:
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
- DC’s The New 52: Futures End
- Spongebob
- Archie
- Hello Kitty
- Power Rangers
- Transformers vs. GI Joe
- and more of all that good stuff, for readers of all ages.
In addition to handing out free comics, comic shops will hold special events such as costume contests, store-wide sales, raffles, creator and artist signings, pictures with costumed heroes and more for community involvement.
