Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers #Giveaway #CaptainUnderpants

Because middle school children are... um... a unique group of wilder-beasts who live under questionable planetary influence and an indecipherable set of codes... my oldest son informed me that the newest basketball locker room hoopla was whether whitey-tighties were acceptably cool.

Really?  Seriously?

Well, yep, apparently this long predates my son's middle school involvement because my nephew (now in college) informs me that the very discussion was a hot topic in his grammar school days.

Though I'm still hard-pressed to come up with a reasonable answer as to why this isn't a weird topic for sixth graders, I am remarkably proud of my son who informed everyone they should just stop bug'in about whitey-tighties because they all liked Captain Underpants.

In a nutshell, Captain Underpants wears them, they all think Captain Underpants books are hysterically cool, and so therefore, whitey-tighties are a-okay.

That, my comic book mom friends, is the power of the amusingly good, flippant Captain Underpants cartoon literature that manages to incorporate history lessons and address social issues, like bullying.  (Kudos to author Dav Pilkey, who has tapped into the middle code to create this enchanting series.)

The 10th book in the series Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers has been let loose on the book market and it's chock full of all the splendid laughs, action, and mysteries of the universe solved that readers have come to expect.

In a topsy-turvy move, through time-traveling hijinks, the amazing Captain Underpants is no more in Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers!  Heroes George and Harold must rise to the challenge of worming their way out of becoming evil zombie nerds forever and change the world back to the Captain Underpants adventurist universe they know and love.
