Hot Toys for 2012: Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed

Looking for a thrilling, fast, action-packed video game with a fabulous cast of SEGA-Allstars?  Well, of course you are!  And so are the kiddos because this is just the amazing sort of present they'd love to see under the Christmas tree.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles, Wreck-It Ralph, Danica Patrick and a slew of other loveable crew members embarking on a racing adventure over land, sea and water on dynamic tracks inspired by classic SEGA games. All the characters have transforming vehicles that adapt to the terrain.

Gamers test their racing abilities and challenge their skills solo or against each other over rapid turns, twists, and tracks filled with surprises and immeasurable fun!  Fans of Super Monkey Ball, After Burner, and Panzer Dragoon will certainly recognize the terrain.  

My sons particularly love playing this game, not only because it appeals to their "need for speed" and interesting games play, but because after seeing "Wreck-It Ralph" in theaters, they are tickled to see some of the characters pop up on their PS3.

Overall, the vehicles are easy to handle, but not too easy- this game will certainly test your dexterity and hold your attention.  The rating of E 10+ is right in line, younger players will still have fun, but find some of the racing options challenging.  The popular All-Star moves have a brand new mechanic allowing your All-Star bar to power up faster if you race daringly and stylishly.

It's all the quality and entertainment you've come to expect from SEGA, and then-some.
