Who Are the Familiar Gaming Villains in Wreck-it-Ralph?

Wreck-It Ralph, an animated arcade-game-hopping adventure, smashes into theaters November 2.  Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) is tired of playing the role of a bad guy and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, Ralph meets a number of new characters and bumped into some old ones avid gamers will recognize from the days of 8-bit gaming, as well as a few more modern friends.

Whether you are scratching your head trying to remember the name of the little orange ghost from Pac-Man (it's Clyde) or simply not familiar with the older gaming icons, we've got the low-down on this start-studded team:

Neff - the big purple rhino-looking dude on the left side of the pic above. Neff is the villain of the classic Altered Beast game.

Kano - on the left of the picture above, sandwiched between the green tentacled monster (a new Disney created character) and the zombie (who resembles many a zombie character in gaming, but is a new Disney conception) is Kano, villain superstar of Mortal Kombat.

Bowser- big yellow, red, green, and white character with studded gear (on the right side of the picture.)  Bowser is famous from his villainy in Super Mario Bros.

Zangief - sitting next to Bowzer, the hulking wrestler is from Street Fighter.

Dr. Robotnik - next to Zangief (with the red suit and googles) is Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog.

M. Bison - next to Dr. Robotnik, another star from Mortal Kombat joins the Bad-Anon group, and deservedly so.

Clyde - yep, he's the little orange ghost from the wildly popular Pac-Man.  Along with his brothers Inky, Blinky, and Pinky, he's kept Pac-Man on the run for decades.

Pretty sure the remaining characters are all new, but going to give a shout-out to Disney to check on it.  Will get back with details!

In the meantime, enjoy the new trailer:
