Naturally, when I caught murmurs of the pre-purchase offering early access to the movie, I had to investigate. Sure enough, Walmart is offering an early digital copy and early access to the DVD with pre-purchase.
The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-Ray+DVD+UltraViolet Limited Edition Mask gift set pre-purchase lets you register online to gain access to an early digital copy of the movie on Vudu.com on October 30, to receive the hard DVD copy a few days before the release date, and delivers immediate access to never-seen-before stunt footage and deleted scenes. Hello-my-darlin' Spidey dancing happy fest!
About this time, it occurs to me that I will have the digital copy in time for Halloween, which means it's also right in time for my littlest superheroes birthday sleepover, too... and shoot, I have to get invites, so, yep, off to Walmart I Spidey-jigged. The process of registering The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-Ray+DVD+UltraViolet Limited Edition Mask gift set on Vudu.com is ridiculously easy. You enter the access code, create an account with your email, enter your mailing address to direct the delivery of your Blu-Ray+DVD+Gift Set, and you're golden (or err, maybe silver, red, and blue.)
And this is the part where the hard-core comic book-giddy-palooza-of-fandom begins because you get instant access to two Amazing Spidey featurettes of the never-seen-before stunt footage reels and deleted scenes.
Upon which it is time to kick back and enjoy the goods, while you count down the days to early access of the digital copy.

Ohhh how cool; I had no idea about the pre-purchase at Walmart. Super cool. We are BIG Spidy fans, too and this will be a big HIT with my Teens. Can't wait for your party tips, I may have a Release party in the works for some of the kids friends...
