Sabrina the Teenage Witch dons Superhero persona

When I think of Sabrina the Teenage Witch (not that I think of Sabrina the Teenage Witch like ever, but on the rare occasion I did because I recently read about the upcoming movie...) I really don't think "superhero."

More like cutsie mini version of Samatha (the Bewitched witch) complete with black cat and teen drama (but no acne.)

However, Deadline reports that Sony Pictures will be turning "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" into a superhero. The live action film is reported to be "an origin story in the vein of Spider-Man, about a young girl coming to terms with her remarkable powers."

Yes, it's a totally "been there, done that" take, but I'm sure it will still hold potential with the kiddo crowd (and yes, depending on the previews, I will probably be nerdy enough to see it, too, though I'll probably have to bribe some relative tween to accompany me for appearance sake.)

So the questions of the moment are what big name star do you think they'll snag for the main role - or do you think they'll go unknown?

Do you think Nicholas Cage will figure out a way to play the role of Salem?

And what's your advice for getting that goofy theme song from the Melissa Joan Hart television version out of my head now?  'Cause I'm all on my own now, And I like the way it feels. da dada da...
