In the news today, an elusive supergiant amphipod was discovered in the deep waters off New Zealand's northeast coast by researchers from the University of Aberdeen. Actually seven of these big bad boys were found, the largest of which measured 11 inches.
And they were looking for deep sea snail fish... which were also found, but apparently the rubbery-looking amphipod is way cooler. We agree... and would love to see it featured in Anime.
