After all, Comic Book Moms are a highly valuable asset to employ and the right questions will ensure that keen insight prior to hire.
Top interview questions to ask Comic Book Moms
Question One: It’s 11 p.m., you’ve just gouged your foot with a Sponge Bob Lego, Pinterest is down, reruns of “The Big Bang Theory” won’t start until midnight, the R2D2 cookies you promised for the sleepover tomorrow are in raw form, and you still haven’t gotten tickets for the “Avengers” opener. What do you do?
Look for: Problem solving, multi-tasking abilities, ans super hero-like reflexes.
Question Two: When you see something on Facebook about what your teen nephew ate for lunch, a TMI hate status from your daughter’s best friend, 79 requests for Farmville and 102 from Empires & Allies, 16 check-ins from people and place you really don’t care about, four inspirational quotes, 12 pictures of kittens with cute sayings, an advertisement for exotic lanterns you couldn’t afford even if you weren’t spending all your time on Facebook, do you:
a) Ignore everything but the invites to Empires & Allies. Seriously, you have to protect your island.
b) Buy the lanterns, “like” all the cute kitten pics, hire a babysitter, stalk your friends via FourSquare, and send your daughter’s BFF ((hugs)) and smiley faces.
c) Facebook? Who the $#??#% has time for Facebook, “Justified” season finale is on.
Look for: Interpersonal communication, emoticon abuse, gaming addiction, and prioritization skills.
Star Wars vs. Star Trek Bonus Tip
When interviewing a Comic Book Mom, how you ask the question is important. The wrong approach may bring upon a barrage of arguments and erratic behavior filled with space lingo and esoteric philosophies about the nature of the Sci-Fi universe.
